Fiesta Island in San Diego Bay is a public park attraction for visitors to camp, bike ride and just enjoy a day at the bay/beach.
Implementing a Wireless-ISP (WISP) WiFi revenue generating Internet access service, would need to be coordinated with the City Parks and Recreation Center providing public safety & convenience which includes hotel guests, improving the city's tourism industry.
The Island does not have WiFi Services and there are no cell towers on the island. There are two Hotels that could establish High-Speed Internet via Air Fiber Wireless trunks to the island, and a Mesh WiFi service to users for a fee. Hotel guests and the service charged to their room and the public can purchase hourly or daily services via credit card as well, see picture below.
Surveys show Internet speeds could reach up to 100-150Mbps throughputs. IP security cameras could be installed at certain locations for public safety purposes as well!
